The Trail

Is it hardstanding?

No, not all of the trail. Small sections are on matting, and some of it is on woodlands trails. Please remember this is a nature woodland environment and in many areas the path can be uneven and muddy!

Is the trail suitable for wheelchairs?

It's important to note that while we have accessible parking for those with mobility issues, the grounds trail at Gosford House is set in a natural environment. The natural terrain of the parkland and woodland, while picturesque, can be uneven and challenging for wheelchairs with gravel-surfaced areas as well as woodland tracks, which have been affected by the recent weather. While we are doing our best to make the trail as inclusive and accessible as possible, your comfort and safety are our top priorities. However, please be aware that attending the grounds trail will be at your own risk. We kindly request that you exercise caution, wear appropriate footwear, and take any necessary precautions during your visit.

Is it suitable for buggies?

The trail is a mixture of hardstanding, sections of matting, grass and woodland. Most buggies will be fine with this, however if you have a big wheel / off-road buggy this is what we would recommend!

Are there loos?

Yes, there are loos at arrival and exit points, as well as on the trail itself. There are also accessible loos which have baby changing facilities.
